Stupid, stoopid Red Sox
You could have had Santana, and my Twins could have had Lester and Ellsbury, BUT NO! We get shit from the Mets, and your ace is toast.

HAHA

1. What happened to Beckett????
Oh crap.

Oh, it was Schilling? He hasn't been the ace for a while now.

The Sox rotation without him is
Beckett
Dice-K
Lester
Wakefield
Buchholz
With Julian Tavarez as a spot starter again.

But you're right about one thing. Your Twins got shit. :D

2. Does my bitterness show by my reveling in the misfortune of others?

5. However bad it might seem for the Twins right now...
It could be worse...See the agony of being a Redskins fan. At least your team has a CHANCE of contending (like they seem to do almost every year). In baseball I'm a Nats fan myself but I have the utmost respect for the Twins who seem to succeed despite having
a very small payroll...they are the anti-Red Sox/Yankees!!!

6. Except there's no misfortune
The Sox rotation is still solid, especially since we won't be needing Tavarez to start every time through like the first half of last year.

3. Carlos Gomez is not a bad prospect
Wait till you see that guy on the basepaths. He has speed that eclipses Jose Reyes. He's probably the fastest baserunner in the game today.

You did VERY well in that deal to get the guy. Where you got robbed was not demanding Pelfrey in that deal. The fact that the Mets kept that kid has me very excited. He has the stuff to potentially be another ace.

7. Speed is good but you need to be on base to use it.
For the love of me I still can't see how the twins thought that trade was better than either of the offers from the Sox or Yankees.

8. In the "Famous Last Words" department....
Who needs Santana? :P

Just glad he's in the NL now. :D

But by the way, I'll keep Lester and Ellsbury if it's all the same to you.
