As an M's fan, it hurts to see Adam Jones go, but hopefully Bedard will live up to his reputation (unlike Sexson and Beltre).

The speculation has ended, the unnamed sources can stay safely in anonymity and the focus can turn to spring training. Erik Bedard finally is a member of the Seattle Mariners.
After two weeks of protracted discussions, analysis and varying reports, the Mariners completed a trade for the left-handed starting pitcher, sending outfielder Adam Jones, reliever George Sherrill and pitching prospects Chris Tillman, Tony Butler and Kam Mickolio to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for Bedard.
“I know this seems like it was a long time coming, but this was a high-stakes deal and we were getting one hell of a player,” Mariners general manager Bill Bavasi said at a news conference Friday at Safeco Field.
Indeed, Bedard has blossomed into one of the top pitchers in baseball, posting a 13-5 record last season with a 3.16 ERA while striking out 221 hitters – third in the American League and a single-season Orioles record.
