Bush's Manny Joke

Today ESPN discussed the joke Bush made about Manny Ramirez not being at the Boston Red Sox meeting with the President for the second time. The first time Ramirez said his grandmother had died. Today Bush made the joke "I guess his grandmother died again". Do duers think the joke was even funny? Some people at ESPN thought the joke was funny. I, however, did not think the joke was funny and I am not saying that just because I do not like Bush. I just did not see the joke as funny. I did not even think it was original, in that a number of people have said things like that. So, what did other duers think?

I don't know if Manny's grandmother was sick or died four years ago.
I don't know if Manny lied to skip out on some spring training and go to a car auction.
I don't know if Manny had a good excuse this time.
I don't know if * knew something that the general public didn't (he did get a laugh from the Red Sox).

But I do know that by making such a supposed inside joke that the whole world could hear was in very bad taste. It is easy to see why he doesn't want to negotiate with others. He is incapable of diplomacy. He just wants to make jokes at the expense of others. That might be funny to some, but not me.
