9. Hey Joey
I guess you won't go out on the limb and pick a winner in the North Carolina - Notre Dame game this week.

15. I just hope someone beats UNC!
I don't really dislike them like I do Duke, but I'd rather see someone else win...except UCLA, of course.

...certainly would rather see them win than UCLA or UNC or Texas or Memphis!

4. Anaheim has a baseball team?
Do you mean the "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim"? :-)

I keep hoping they'll build one of those big, splashy new parks downtown, so they can be the "Los Angeles Angels of Los Angeles". :P

20. Dude, you rock.
Don't EVEN get me going on Fletch. I'll be here all night quoting the whole damn movie. One of the all time funniest movies, hands down.

"I like what you've done with the place, must have cost hundreds."

My friend says I'm a mix of Fletch, Blackadder, and Frank Drebin.

Well, I knew that's where my mouth would be.

If you haven't read the Fletch books you should. There great, and picturing Chevy Chase just makes them cooler. It's too bad that the new Fletch movie Kevin Smith wanted to do never got off the ground (though after seeing Clerks 2 maybe it's not too bad).

A bold prediction, I think, since they were last 9 of the last 10 years.

The newly christened "Tampa Bay Rays" may not finish last, either. :-)

39. Actually the Rays are predicted to have a pretty decent season.
They may even finish the season at around .500 or better. Their biggest problem last year was relief pitching. They have a lot of young starters that would get them into the 7th inning before they were pulled for having high pitch counts. They may have set a record last year for games blown in the 8th or 9th innings.

This year they've picked up another experienced reliever that should make a big difference.

But don't be surprised if you see a much stronger performance from the Rays. Some say this may be the last year the Rays will finish with a losing record and that next year they will be better and younger too. They have several good pitchers in the minors that should be coming up in the next 2 years and then after that look out for the Rays.

The Yanks are better when they aren't expected to win it all. This year everybody is skeptical about the Yankees. They are in for a big surprise.

come out strong in their worse month of the season, April. If they break even by 1 May the Division Race should be over.

31. I've been thinking the same thing.
From April 20th or so to the end of the '07 season, they had the best record in the N.L, and I expect it'll be similar this year. We're starting off against the Nats, so we should be better off than the last couple years. Keyword should.

34. THIS IS THE CUBS YEAR!
Just like it was 100 years ago that the Democrats held their last convention in Denver, it will be 100 years since the Cubs last won the World Series. It's karma.

But they will have a hard time getting by The Rockies!

after the Cubs were out I was rooting for them.

I had a hard time picking the D-Backs over them but did because of Webb/Haren, though they hurt themselves by trading Valverde. That guy has nasty stuff.

37. A pig in a poke
National League (where they play baseball)

West: the artful Dodgers
Central: Cubs
East: Mets
Wildcard: Diamondbacks

American League (where baseball was banned in 1973)

West: Angels (well, we can agree that is their name)
Central: Tigers
East: Red Sox
Wildcard: Mariners

World Series: Dodgers over Red Sox

The Yanks will go through three managers. When the Dodgers under Torre win the series, Steinbrenner will hold his breath until he turns blue.
