NBA approves Sonics' move to Oklahoma City
NEW YORK — NBA owners overwhelmingly approved the Sonics' relocation bid to Oklahoma City today by a 28-2 vote of the league's Board of Governors.

...

Mark Cuban of the Dallas Mavericks and Paul Allen of the Portland Trail Blazers were the only votes against the move. Allen was not in New York for the meeting, represented by team president Larry Miller.

1. Outrageous.
I like Mark Cuban more and more with every stand he takes -- even if he annoys me when I watch him sit on the bench with the Mavs.

But you pull the team from Seattle -- a major city -- to move to fuckin Oklahoma?

(No offense to fuckin Oklahoma)

But are you kidding me?

:argh:

And the 30 million dollar relocation fee is split among the 30 teams! :spray:

They are rewarded one million dollars for approving the move. It's a joke.

This is the start of billionaire owners holding cities hostage to build them fancy arenas with tax payer money.

The next team to screw its city:

3. Mr. Starbucks sold the team
to owners from Okla., he knew what was going on. Now he's attempting to save face with his lawsuit. Howard Schultz is a pig.

4. Having lived in Seattle, the good news in all this...
...is that it will finally be possible to drive through Queen Anne once more.
