1. I'm a big Shark fan
That picture of Joe Thornton and Evgeni Nabokov says it all. In the Dallas series they lost three games in overtime. Even the 4 OT game last night they outplayed the Stars, but just couldn't get the breaks. It's been tough the last 4 years being a Shark fan, knowing they're good enough to win the Cup, but something seems to be missing. I read an interesting stat this morning, since 2004 no team in the NHL has won more playoff games than the Sharks, unfortunately no team has lost more either.

To go through 4 grueling series and win a Stanley Cup you need a combination of skill, character and luck. The Sharks have the skill, I think they proved, this year, they have the character, now all they need is the luck. There's been talk already of possible changes, including a coaching change. I hope not, Ron Wilson has done a lot for this team and if not for a few bounces it would be the Sharks taking on the Red Wings.

2. Oh cool.....yea, three straight years of game six losses in the
second round

I won't lie. That OT loss was crushed me.

I had a feeling Dallas was going to score when they went to the PP after the tripping call.

I don't think the Sharks would have gotten by the Red Wings, however it would have been interesting to see how close close they are to finally making it to the Cup since I think Detroit is the best in the West.

Sigh.
