Manny Ramirez made an over-the-shoulder running catch of a Kevin Millar drive to left field in the fourth inning which prevented a run, and maybe two runs, from scoring during Wednesday's game at Camden Yards...
"Maybe Manny will win a Gold Glove as is his aspiration," The Globe's Nick Cafardo wrote in Extra Bases on Wednesday regarding the play. "OK, more like the Silver Glove... Ramirez has often quipped about winning the 'Silver Glove' and has clearly improved defensively."
After the catch on Millar's fly ball, Manny reached into the stands to slap hands with a fan. After the high-five, Manny then threw to second baseman Dustin Pedroia, whose relay to first doubled off Baltimore's Aubrey Huff.
Manny then celebrated with center fielder Jonathan Van Every after making the catch, giving the high-five, and making the throw that led to the double-play on Aubrey Huff.
...fuckin' Manny. Playing his ass of in his contract year, which irks. But he may well be the best right-handed hitter of his generation, and he's just batshit crazy in that "stoned and goofy" kind of way.

They should put that sentence on his locker.
