Joe Morgan, one more ESPN flop - NY Post
My friends and I have been saying for years that Joe Morgan is a terrible analyst. Whenever he's on, I mute the sound and watch the game with music instead. Here's a good article about Morgan's incompetence.

http://www.nypost.com/seven/05232008/sports/below_average_joe_one_more_espn_flop_112218.htm

snip> "Lead analyst Joe Morgan, normally given to excessive speech-making, dubious analysis and fantasy-as-fact observations and recall, seemed downright delusional, Captain Queeg in the Officer's Club with Captain Morgan."

snip> "Then there were his short-story-long observations. He delivered two explanations on why it's better to walk a batter with two out than with none out. Yep, with two out you need only one more out; a walk with none out means you need three outs. Who knew?"

1. Did you know that Hall of Famer Joe Morgan was in the Hall of Fame?
I think Hall of Famer Joe Morgan may have mentioned that he was in the Hall of Fame about 10 times in his last Hall of Fame broadcast. But just to be sure, you should ask Hall of Famer Joe Morgan if he is indeed in the Hall of Fame. I am sure Hall of Famer Joe Morgan will be more than happy to regale you with stories about why he, Hall of Famer Joe Morgan, is in the Hall of Fame.

3. According to Morgan

He's the greatest second baseman ever. He absolutely refuses to give the true greatest, Ryne Sandberg, any credit at all.
Morgan did not even show up when Ryne Sandberg was inducted into the HoF. No class at all.

4. He was a great second-baseman
And not as bad as you think IMO, as an analyst.
