US v. England
Anybody going to watch? I fancy going to the pub and having a pint or two to watch it.
England 2-1, that's my prediction.

1. 2-0
90 minutes of boredom relieved only by the hilariously bad Freddie Adu.

that was boys against men. Without Donovan and Altidore, the US has no real offensive threat. Freddy is good on set pieces, but simply doesn't have the chops yet to play well against, say, Gerrard. and no one else even belongs on the pitch today.

I think Spain is going to make my head hurt. seriously, if you can't be inpsired when playing the Lions at Wembley, you shouldn't be playing.

3. Ugh
That was a terrible 90 minutes of football. I was hoping for more out of Beasley tonight, but oh well. No one on our side really did belong on the pitch today. I was happy for Terry to get the first strike though, poor man has probably had a hellish week.

Oh well, not much longer till Euro Cup time when there should be some competitive play. Anyone have their pick for a winner? I'm probably going to go with Germany- but I'm too Dutch to admit it outside of the internet.

I'm trying to get a quick flight to Rotterdam this weekend to catch Wales get their ass handed to them by the Oranje but the cheapest thing I've found is about 70 quid, so I guess its another night of being drunk and picked on for being American... after tonight's performance in Wembley I can understand why.

4. I'd like a Germany/Spain final.
Don't care too much who wins, as long as it's an exciting match.

And it's not just our players... it's also just dumb annoying stuff like saying "PK", the widespread ignorance of much outside our own country (sports-related or not), and the ridiculous "soccer sucks" attitude that makes us prime targets for (mostly playful) ridicule. :)
