This is also due to the site of the Rose Bowl, a home game for SoCal. I'll be rooting for PSU, wise, however it will be a tall order for the Lions. If only my Hawkeyes didn't.... ah, nevermind. Until we get a playoff system of some sort, there will always be arguments. To some fans, that's what makes college football unique. BTW, just found out we're going up against the other SC in the Outback.

Many used that same argument last year to support Hawaii playing for the national title. The fact is while Utah and Boise State are good teams, they simply don't play anywhere near the level of competition all those 1-loss teams at the top do. Let's not forget what happened to 12-0 Hawaii last year once they finally had to play a bowl-worthy team.

All I have to say is 2007 Hawaii. It was bad enough last year that the Sugar Bowl was completely ruined by an undefeated, and totally unworthy, Hawaii team. But the NCG? I think Utah is more impressive than Hawaii last year, but still, they are probably going to get destroyed in their bowl and do not deserve a NCG appearance.

but Bammer should/could wax them if.... they come to play. What happens in bowl games one team, the underdog, gets sky high for the game and frequently the fav disrespects the underdog. Bama has the additional problem... their dreams were just smashed. Not only no shot at the National Championship but also no SEC crown, which is very big to us SECers. They went 12-0, were #1 for half the season and have little to show for it. Frequently in college ball when your goals are lost for the season... you team essentially folds. (See LSU)

I expect Saban has them ready and they roll The Utes (What's a ute?) but it won't be like UGA v Haw last year at all.
