Hmmm. The Phins go from one to at least eight wins and a possible home playoff
game this year.

Wonder what the Lions will do next year. Uhhh, never mind.

2. This is what I saw them doing next year, not this year.

The turn around has been far quicker than I expected, and I was totally wrong about Pennington being any good for them.

Hey, SF plays Miami next week. How fun do think this forum will get when cboy's and trumad's teams go head to head? Unless it's a tie, one side is in for some serious ragging.

15. The Dolphins will win. They're still seeking revenge.

San Francisco 49ers coach Bill Walsh was hoisted on the shoulders
of his team after they defeated the Miami Dolphins 38-16 in Super Bowl XIX. (1985 file/ap)

6. This tells you more about last year's coaching/management than this year's team
I think I saw that Ireland and Parcells brought in something like 29 players for this season. The idea that a team could have that much dead weight, enough that it could be replaced by what appears to be a really good draft, Chad Pennington, and a bunch of warm bodies, is staggering. That this team could well win 10 or 11 games, even more so.

7. Dude--- you do not know how bad Dave Wannstedt set this team back...
It was devastating.... but it's looking better.

8. We can thank Wannstedt for Ronnie Brown...
...and nothing else.

Before Ronnie Brown, the team hadn't had a successful first-round pick since Daryl Gardiner. At least Vernon Carey is still on the team. :eyes:

17. The Dolphins are playing their asses off right now.
I wouldn't be surprised to see them end up with the #3 seed in the AFC.

The Lions, however, will be continuing their 50-year rebuilding plan.

18. Has anyone ever won comeback player of the year 2X?
No one with a noodle arm could have thrown that TD pass to Fasano.
