Rock, Paper Scissors Intercollegiate Tournament

In Panama City, Florida, the USA Rock Paper Scissors League's collegiate tournament is being held. The winner will receive $20,000. PepsiCo flew the winners of rock-paper-scissors tournaments at nearly two dozen colleges from across the country. Rock-paper-scissors became a competitive sport after two Canadian brothers, Graham and Douglas Walker, created the World Rock Paper Scissors Society in 1995. Matti Leshem, commissioner of the USA Rock Paper Scissors League, hired former Playboy models to stand at ringside for atmosphere. Some people don't consider rock-paper-scissors a real sport. Obviously they have never had to deal with the repetative stress disorder injuries from hours of practice.

out here the pastime is called jan ken po, and we do it for everything, like the last slice of pizza. There was even a local game show (loosely) based on it.
