Michigan State (BIG TEN) outplays UConn
and advances to NCAA final game. I haven't seen ESPN's take on this game, but somehow I think there will be excuses for UConn.

1. Yes, they had too many fouls.

Whoops. I think until the last 5 minutes or so UConn only had 2 players with 3 fouls each while MS had 5 or 6 with 3 fouls each. I think one of MS even fouled out.

Maybe UConn thought Michigan State was suppose to use Olympic rules?

Maybe UConn thought Michigan State was suppose to ask permission to shoot the ball?

2. MSU just played better.
UConn's guards were awful, though. But UCOnn was outplayed by MSU the entire game.

3. Yes, indeedy, Bluz ,the Spartans were lucky to win by nine.
My feelings at the end of the game were mixed, to say the least. Proud of the Spartans and the Big Ten but also anger. Pundits and analysts ridiculed the Big Ten all year. The NY Times called MSU a very low rated #2 seed. Now another Big Ten team is in another championship but we should apologize for it. Sorry, folks. This conference plays as good of a game as ANY conference in the country. That was proven, last night. I lived everywhere in the US and the loyalty by Big Ten teams tops all. Not even close.

4. I've doubted Michigan St. all year.
I really didn't think they were all that good. I thought they were decent, but so are many, many other teams in the nation. I never would've guessed that MSU would get to the final. But Izzo is a great coach and gets his kids prepared. They seem to play above their talent level, imo.

5. Maybe. But it's a team game after all
Yesterday the Spartans were the better team.

I think UConn might have won if they'd either started hitting their free throws or found a way to do something different once they started getting shut down. State was more adaptable and played a together more, and that puts them in the final.
