8. The weather was great, although quite cold,

but that's the way the dogs like it. As far as the dogs go, a lot of the mushers run the Alaskan huskies, which are actually sort of mongrel breed, because they're faster, but the Sibes are always crowd-pleasers. You must have noticed Blake Matray's stunningly beautiful team of Siberians...
