assessing what isn't working.

8. I think the Beckett thing is weird.
I wouldn't argue it if time hadn't been called and the weather was warmer.

But time was called and the weather was cold.

I think he'll win the appeal.

9. Yeah, especially since no one has gotten anything close to that harsh
of a penalty for a similar incident...I'd like the MLB to study some law and realize how hard it is to determine intent in a trial. That is too damn subjective to be sure of anything.

22. yes a match made in heaven BoSox and Scousers........
both scum in my eyes. But hey this comes from a Manc. Liverpool will go w/o silverware again this year. Maybe United can borrow one the scoursers trophy cases, ours are getting full.

"champions of England champions of Europe"

Manchester the European Capital of Trophies.

19. Just because Irish people moved there, does not make Liverpool Ireland's team.
I don't know one single Irish fan of that team. I know several Arsenal fans and more than enough Utd fans... not a single fan of the scousers.

Sure it's anecdotal... but I don't care.

I was saving my argument about how Utd really holds more of a claim to that title than Liverpool for later...

33. And the folks from Ireland in the Irish pub in my neighborhood root for Liverpool.
It's where the Irish landed, hence, names like 'McCartney'.

History lesson: Tottenham is the traditional team that Jews in England rooted for.

24. It ain't the European Capital of Trophies....
Cuz that is down the road in Manchester. You have till next Tuesday to view the CL trophy at Old Trafford, and come end of May will let you see it again. And yes we all know you have yours.....but the past was yours and future is ours.

Arsenal as the underdogs have nothing to lose but pride... but Utd have the pressure on them now.

37. I'll unwilling agree....
out of all the big 4, of course next to United, I respect the hell out of Arsenal. I enjoy our rivalry and view it (for me) more of a friendly rivalry whereas United/Liverpool is like wishing death on the other. Same with City and United. Chelsea is rival for the moment due to cash injection.

Voyeur has put together a great team with a great vision. Injuries and depth have been the downfall. Also a good CB would help you. Gallas isn't the answer for that....and Silvestre, well thanks for taking him.

Just ensure a victory over Liverpool and I'll be happy. :)
cheers.

23. not the real kit. why not just force AIG of the kit and give us a blank kit....
That is what I say. For the remaining time AIG is the kit sponsor I feel they should just remove the name and allow United to have a kit (shirt) like 'the old days' free from sponsorship. If not that option, the allow United to pick a local charity and allow them to put that on the kit. Similar to FC Barcelona and their kits having UNICEF on them. FC Barca actually pays UNICEF not the other way around! That is impressive.

Personally I sick of getting on a plane with a United kit on and being asked by at least 3 people "do you work for AIG?" or "why are you wearing a AIG shirt?" I don't even attempt to give an answer anymore.

10. It was an awesome game.
I was working from home, and as a huge Chelsea fan (not ALL Sox fans go for Liverpool, BTW) I was glued to it.

It should be recast during the week, since English Premier are weekend only, and UEFA are what, twice a week?

17. Premiership games are sometimes held during the week...
UEFA CL is every other week, during the week. Until the finals, which (if I'm not mistaken) is on a weekend.

26. correct starting this year.
CL final was always a Wednesday night in Europe (afternoon across the pond), but TV and public out cry have changed the final to Saturday day. A shame, I love leaving work early for CL games, even the final. No more.

12. Amazing game.
Probably the best CL game since the 2005 Final in Istanbul.

If you missed it, it was 6-3 on aggregate with 10 minutes left. Liverpool score two quick goals to make it 6-5. Lampard scored to make it 7-5 then Liverpool almost got one back in the 89th but it was cleared off the line. Incredible stuff.

Every time I thought it was over, Liverpool kept scratching their way back. Even into extra time, I never felt like it was over until they finally blew the whistle.

28. It was an amazing game.
Both teams played wide open the entire game. It was the complete opposite of the ManU game yesterday which was very controlled. It was a thriller of a game.
