2009 NFL Mr. Irrelevant: Ryan Succop
And your Mr. Irrelevant, the 256th and final player taken in the NFL draft by the Kansas City Chiefs is ... South Carolina kicker Ryan Succop.

Really? A kicker? More like Mr. Redundant.

"I don't really mind it. I don't plan on being irrelevant," Succop said. "I've been very blessed, and I plan on making an impact right away."

He will be honored with a week in Newport Beach, Calif., in June, just as Lions cornerback Ramzee Robinson was in 2007.

Robinson is one of four Mr. Irrelevants still in the NFL.

5. Really---
So you're comparing the most successful college football team in the last 25 years to the Lions?

Too funny.

7. That guy gave the Gators a national championship in 2006
I'd hardly call him irrelevant. I wanted to scream when he was the last pick.

South Carolina pushed Florida around in the Swamp for the majority of the game but Succup decided he'd like to have several FGs and an extra point swatted back toward him. Late miss allowed Florida to win by 1 point. Otherwise, the Gators would not have been in that title game where they destroyed Ohio St.
