The Canucks were up 3-0 going into the 3rd, but the Hawks have come back to tie it with 5 minutes left. Lots of physical play and excitement. This may be the best matchup in the 2nd round.

1. Unfortunate turn of events.
To give the Canucks the lead. Chicago will show up for the whole game in the next one.

2. I was worried about this game for Vancouver..
having been off so long..Maybe not the way you want to win....blowing a 3 goal lead, but the Canucks will take it. Chicago obviously dominated the third period but Vancouver had enough character, maybe even a little luck, and got that 4th goal...the Blackhawks can't be allowing a 3 on 1 at that point in the game.

I think you'll see a better Canuck performance Saturday night.

3. I'm not entirely sold on Luongo as a clutch goal tender
I think giving up 3 in the third doesn't exactly end that debate for me.

That's not good.

I have to wonder if despite the loss Chicago still walks out of there a little more confident going into the next game. Who knows.

Vancouver looked like it was dominating this game through the first two periods. The Hawks also took three stupid penalties in the first which is not a good way to start the game. It's not like the Refs were really whistle happy in this one.

Hawks do a better job staying out of the box they can take this series. Killing six minutes in penalties in the first is not the best way to conserve your energy or establish control of a game.

4. Luongo looked rusty
I thought he was slow to react on at least two of the goals....he'll come around. Chicago will feel encouraged by their play in the third period but they let a golden opportunity slip through their hands. I think the Canucks will improve as the series progresses..they only played 40 minutes last night but are still up 1-0.

5. Luongo kinda has a history of falling apart in big spots
Last year he abeolutely sucked down the stretch for Vancouver when they were under pressure for a post season berth. I recall many a years when Florida was close to making the post season and he totally has melt downs late in the year or middle of the year.

Don't get me wrong, I think Luongo is a good goalie. I don't think you can go wrong him.

I think he's going to have a tough time with Chicago and this last game is indicitive. Chicago manages to stay out of the box I think they have this series.
