One small win for choice in Nebraska

Several months ago, local Right to Life members had started a new tactic. At the reproductive clinic in Bellevue a large 30 foot moving truck with huge photos of aborted fetuses started showing up on a closed (for sale) convenience store parking lot next door to it on Saturday mornings with the regular protesters. Police seemed helpless to stop it, because the owner was not present to make a complaint. Many pro choice people had been calling the real estate company to complain with no result either. Pro choicers went through the process of tracking down the owner and contacting them directly to complain. Yesterday morning new NO PARKING signs were on the lot and the frontage that prevented the truck from displaying the photos. One small win for choice. Right to Life will probably try to buy the property now. They have tried to buy several abortion clinic properties nationwide as a way to shut down many clinics including this one in Bellevue.

1. When will they realize
that the only way to make sure there are fewer abortions is to provide comprehensive sex education and comprehensive health care? That way, teens learn how not to get in trouble, and women who wish to become mothers know what they need to do to carry a child to term.

Oh, I forgot. Many of these people believe in NO birth control and think that health care is a privilege and not a right.

3. I know the clinic of which you speak (it's not far from one of Offutt's gates)--
my husband works with a right-to-lifer asshole who brings his entire family there to picket sometimes on Saturday mornings. Family fun!!! You just know this jerk's kids are wishing they could watch cartoons with the rest of America's youth on Saturday morning--but nooooo, there are always more embryos to rescue.
