One week from today (from EMILY’s List)

Thanks to the ongoing support of EMILY’s List members like you, two of our extraordinary women leaders are closer to having the financial resources it will take to beat the GOP — but we know that Republicans will stop at nothing to hold onto these seats, so we are going the distance to ensure our candidates have what it takes to win.

I hope you’ll take a minute today to help these two outstanding pro-choice Democratic women candidates who urgently need your immediate support!

In just ONE WEEK on Dec. 11 we can help Robin Weirauch win her special election for Ohio’s fifth district. This tough open seat is ripe for Democratic takeover — the first real opportunity of this election cycle to take back a GOP seat!

With your immediate support, Robin Weirauch, a passionate, experienced community leader, can reach voters with her positive message for change over the final critical days of her campaign and overcome a right-wing, anti-choice candidate.

You and other EMILY’s List members can also help Ann Kirkpatrick prepare for another potential special election in Arizona’s first district — also a key Democratic takeover opportunity.

If retiring GOP Rep. Rick Renzi, who’s under FBI investigation, is indicted and resigns within the coming months, Kirkpatrick will have an exceptionally short time frame to mount a full-scale campaign.

A tireless advocate for seniors, education, reproductive rights, and Native Americans — Kirkpatrick is the strongest of three primary contenders to defeat the likely GOP nominee, an anti-choice cultural conservative who’s a lobbyist for the mining industry.

With your help, we can make an immediate difference in Congress by electing these women who will fight for change!

Warmest regards,

Ellen R. Malcolm
President

P.S. As an EMILY’s List member, I know you understand what a difference your early and generous support can make. Please take a minute to help these women leaders — who urgently need your support — seize two of the best political opportunities of 2008 and help put our country back on track!

1. Minor complaint.
Only republican candidates should wear red. Don't wear the other team's jersey.
