Someone (I Think Our Superintendent) Is Leaving Anti-Public School

literature and articles on the table in our teachers' lounge recently, pro-charter school, pro-merit pay, pro-virtual school bs(bullshit). What would you do in response? I thought it might be nice to leave a little message that says "You can't afford merit pay, period." Anyway, I'm curious what you would do.

10. It must be some edict that is being passed around to Superintendents.

We are getting the same BS mentioned offhandedly in emails, speeches, memos, etc. All of this is coming from our Board offices. We are not a large district, only 8,500 students, so this tells me that this idea is really being pushed hard from "above". I've suspected it comes from our very RED state congress, but not positive of that.

I feel confident it relates to THE BOTTOM LINE, as does almost everything in education these days. They would like nothing better than to replace all of us with computers & sports coaches, and create a drone society.
