Education Without Borders to kick off Monday
WAM ABU DHABI, Mar. 29th, 2009: he Fifth International Student Conference for Education without Borders will kick-off on March 29, 2009 in Jumairah City, Dubai with the participation of over 1,000 students from 120 countries. Under the patronage of His Highness the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the conference will run until April 1, 2009. Held every two years, the conference aims to boost ties among students from various nations, enhance their communications skills, help them understand the international challenges, and find creative solutions to such problems. The highlight of the conference is the interaction between the outstanding students from across the world and prominent leaders from different fields like the government, business and education.

The event will be inaugaured by H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific and Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT).

Education Without Borders is a three-day biennial international student conference that creates networks across cultures in order to understand and generate solutions for some of the world's greatest challenges.

Sheikh Nahyan in accordance with the UAE President's vision to keep up with the latest development in the world, maintain openness to all cultures to learn from the experiences of others, fight poverty, and ensure love and peace among different communities around the world, as well as encourage students to participate and serve in different sectors like health, education and environment.
