Participate in National Day of Action: Monday, Apr. 4 National Day of Action - Monday, April 4
April 4 marks the 43rd anniversary of the tragic assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
This year, April 4 will be a National Day of Action. PSEA members will join labor unions, civil rights organizations, and religious leaders across the country to speak up for our rights as working men and women. We will remind our elected officials that workers' rights are human rights - and that those rights cannot and will not be destroyed.
Four things you and your local can do on April 4:
* Wear something red to school on Monday, April 4. * Plan a "contact your legislator day" before or after school. Call and email your legislators to voice your concern with school vouchers and proposed school funding cuts. * Join labor coalitions in your area to participate in "after school" activities on April 4. * Meet in the parking lot before school and have everyone carry "We Are One" signs into school.
