Recycling anti-gay trash into a donation for PFLAG
Homophobic note left on car auctioned for gay rights group

After an enjoyable meal last week at a restaurant in West Bridgewater, Mass., Ian Brumberger found a note on his car that included these comments: "Man + Woman = Marraige!" (sic); "ANTI-AMERICAN PIECE OF SHIT!"; "Take your liberal ass to Canada and take a Mexican with you"; and "F*ck your liberal ass!" Unfortunately, rain caused the ink of much of the text to run.

Brumberger is now auctioning off the note on eBay for the benefit of PFLAG(Parents Families & Friends of Lesbians & Gays). Click here to see the eBay listing.

Brumberger doesn't take credit for the idea of auctioning off the note. "I posted my story about the homphobic note left on my car on the democraticunderground.com bulletin board, and someone came up with this great idea of auctioning it off for a gay advocacy group," Brumberger told this publication on Monday.

Brumberger's almost 3-year-old daughter wanted to help her dad with his fund-raising efforts. With some help, she created a dog figurine which is also being auctioned. To her great disappointment, no bids have been received yet on her creation.

(By the way, The ADL is in favor of gay marriage).
