Heroin addict complains that gays adopted her children

A woman who became addicted to heroin and had her two children taken from her by social services has shared her views on gay adoption.

Their mother, who now claims to have kicked her habit, told the Mail:

"The social worker told me the kids are getting on really well with them (the gay couple).

"My daughter had apparently said to the social worker, "Come up and see my princess bed." I just feel totally devastated."

However, she also said that despite "having nothing against gay people" she does not want the children she was judged incapable of raising to live with a same-sex couple.

"I did not under any circumstances want my children to be placed with gay men. I wanted them to have a mum and a dad.

From the article, it sounds like the kids had a few special needs, too. She should thank that couple for being so giving, instead of giving a whining interview about what she wants. What a tool!

5. Odd, I knew a junkie years ago who was a great mother

I know she was by her kids' appearance and demeanor. They were great kids, always clean, clothed, fed, and loved.

She taught me to look at more than just the surface and I'm grateful for the lesson. She was still using when I lost track. I hope she's managed to get clean, for her sake especially.

I don't think this gal will have any say in the matter, though. I wonder if she resents all gay couples or just this gay couple for giving her children more than she could.

In any case, while having a cornflakes family of mum and dad and a dog with hair in its eyes will give middle school bullies one less thing to rag on them about, sometimes a gay couple is the very best the system can do. It seems that in this case, it was.

Everybody gets ragged on by middle school bullies, anyway.

Sounds like she has a lot of prejudice against gay people.
