Speaker Shap Smith calls House into recess until 7:15 says best to continue debate on a full stomach

statewide referendum fails 96-52. <100 votes are needed to override a veto by the governor just an FYI - this is a good sign>

roll call being taken on referendum - not likely to pass results soon

All on brief break before they take roll call vote on statewide referendum. In senate, referendum idea failed 19-11

Vote on Marriage expected within a few hours at the latest. The referendum looks like its going to fail (it would have put it on the ballot next election)
