Just not for those who care, the Xtian right got their base out to vote against Adam Lambert on AI
They plummetted him, through their use of the congrgations and a well orchestrated hate campaign to the bottom three. I hope some folks can remeber to vote next Tuesday. This is in fact a war between the right and the "evil gays". They have said so in their emails and blogs. They support Danny Gokey and Kris because their "talent comes from God" and Adam's??????? It would be a real shame if the most incredibly talented contestant to evr appear on American Idol is defeated by the bigots

1. What would you bet that AI has a safety for that?
Wouldn't you think that AI has a way of identifying unusual voting patterns, ie area codes or exchanges?

Almost all of these bullshit reality shows have a bit in the fine print that reads something like "producers reserve the right to make changes which affect the outcome for the benefit of the program and audience experience."

It's how they always manage to keep the asshole on Survivorgreatracebigbrotherbachelor until the next to last round.

2. Ha! Nothin' for nothin', but I saw your name. For once I agree with
you, Adam ROCKS! He'll win. He's so much more talented than the rest of the singers, some being 'nicely' talented. Adam is so much better.

I don't vote, but I like him!

7. Like what? Google it. Danny Gokey is an Evangelical Youth minister that the church's are voting for!
Why would I make this up? There is even amn AI Ministry and prayer sites. I'll try to find a link but honestly this ios everywhere on blogs. Kind of common knowledge.

9. it's a singing contest
Why would anyone be interested in someone's sexual orientation or religion in a singing competition?

On this site , as well as advising them to Vote , Vote, Vote, they have speacial "awards ' for Christian American idols!
http://www.everydaychristian.com/blogs/post/1301/

Reuters even refers to Gokey as the "Christian contestant!" Adam lambert has even had an egyptian symbol tatooedf on his writs illustrating the triumph of good against evil!

4. It's too little, too late for the faux-christians. He's already a household name.
If he "loses," Mr. Lambert will be crying all the way to the bank.

IIRC, Chris Daughtry was kicked off at about this point in the show.

5. American Idol is a lousy television show showcasing mediocre talents.
If the Christian Right is busy trying to rig game shows, that's time and energy they're not spending doing anything that actually means anything.

8. Except that Adam lambert is anything but mediocre and is the only openly
alternative lifestyle( His words, not mine) contestant, whom most believe is Gay or at least Bisexual, and his sexuality is being used against him.
And American Idol is the most popular show in the nation and is viewed by millions every week.It is being used to "send a message". That is why it is important.

11. While I have nothing but contempt for the rat bastard
Christaliban, Adam did make me vomit with his version of Ring of Fire. I don't watch American Idol, but my mom and sister-in-law forced me to watch that horrid attempt at a performance. I do believe that as a result of that mangling of an amazing song, he should never be allowed to perform again.

12. It was a little over the top. But his version of Mad World was pretty
damned incredible.

13. After listening to his version of that song
it seemed that he sang it just as he was told to, without having any sense of the emotion of the song. His version of the remake of the song managed to ignore all the soul of the original version, and the Gary Jules cover that he oversang. If he's ever going to be a worthwhile singer, he needs to learn to sing with some subtlety. Granted, he's trying to be a popular singer, and not a good one, so it would seem he's right where he needs to be.

14. That's odd...
I had the complete opposite reaction and wondered what awfulness he had gone through to feel such pain.

15. When I heard his version, I was reminded of Metallica's version
of Turn the Page. The notes and words were in the right place, but you (referring to the singer) have no idea of why they need to be sung. The pretty sounds were there, but the soul was missing.

17. It is a great song
and I think you'd get more out of either the version that he covered, by Gary Jules, or the original by Tears for Fears.

20. I am an American Idol hater and prefer Adams version to the
other two and like "Tears for Fears" version the least and I used to listen to Tears for Fears often during my youth.

19. Adam Lambert is an incredible talent. Period.
"Mad World" is probably one of the very best performances I have ever seen on AI and I found it to be very heartfelt and moving. He has a great voice with a great range. He is a good looking young man and certainly should be the next American Idol. It's too bad the judges already used their vote two weeks ago to save Matt who got voted off last night. There are other good singers, but it would be a shame if Adam does not win. No matter what, he has a great musical career ahead of him and he should be a star for years.

24. The save is irrelevant at this point -
it was a "use it or lose it" situation. Once the competition got to the top 5, the save could not be used.

I think that Adam's performance of "Mad World" absolutely set the gold standard for AI. It's going to be untouchable.
