Fundies already promising to go after the 18,000 marriages the CSSC let stand
Rev. Lou Sheldon, chairman of the Traditional Values Coalition, gave a bit of a cheer when he heard the ruling from the high court.

"This is a victory for the people. The sovereignty of the people is so important in our system of government," he said.

Sheldon said the issue is not settled, realizing those in favor of same-sex marriage will appeal. He said his group will also appeal on the issue of 18,000 marriages that the court ruled will stand as is.

Sheldon said he believes those marriages should be invalid.

4. Ah, there we go...
First the ruling.
Now the marriages.
Next the children.
Then make it illegal to have gay relationships.

I knew it was just the tip of the iceberg.

7. Who they going to appeal to?
Marriage is a STATE issue.

Good luck with that one.

8. Wait a minute. The same people who are fighting for the sanctity of marriage
want to invalidate a marriage? Once done, it shouldn't be screwed with, I'd say. There's going to be some seriously bad karma coming back at them for this.

9. Apparently the irony of an en masse divorce is lost on them.
Wouldn't be the first time.

12. "The sovereignty of the people is so important"... unless we decide that you're
'different' from us. In which case, we get to decide what rights you do or don't have.

13. These people are downright evil.
The progressive movement needs to start hammering these anti-marriage-equality hate groups:

14. Sauce for the Goose....
AFAIC the only equitable relief is for the State to suspend the financial benefits of ALL marriages since there is now a clear inequality between the benefits available to some and not available to the vast majority.

We WILL have equality one way or another.
