Has anyone seen On the Road with Austin and Santino?
Project Runway has a sort of spin off where Austin and Santino go around the country and design special event dresses for women who don't normally dress up. Think Queer Eye for the Straight Guy except it isn't in New York. The go to these really rural and so far southern locales. One was Texas and the other Louisiana. Now Austin is like the gayest man on earth. It really is wierd to see that they just sort of fit in and get the job done. Really interesting.

1.  I saw it last night
when Austin went into the saddle shop, I thought the guys there had strange looks on their faces. So far I don't like either of the dresses they designed.

3. the first one was bad but I didn't really blame them since they had to use that ugly fabric
the second one I liked.

5. Some how I h=just don't see cowboy boots with a dress as high fashion.
Who ever told them it was (just like the snow boots that girls wear yearlong around here), lied!

2. Saw it last night. Liked it.
Thought it was really interesting how Austin seemed to not raise one eyebrow when he was with the Texas family. I met Santino in NYC for fashion week a couple of years ago. He's just the same in person as on TV.

I am a total Project Runway junkie. And I like that they are doing spin offs.

4. yeah I think that part of what lifetime did was good
and I like the expansion to 90 minutes for the main show. I didn't particularly like their first year though.

6. Lifetime is doing a pretty good job with the franchise
I love love love Tim Gunn.

So many of the folks who were on the PR shows are 'regulars' of the NY fashion scene. I saw that fellow who had to leave the show (because of a MRSA infection) at the Perry Ellis show. He was really nice.

I am sorry to say I forgot the show was beginning on THursday. Do you have any idea of when it will be replayed? I stayed up unti l:00 AM last night watching for it, but no luck!!

(I think some of their winners have been odd choices... but overall like the shows)

10. Saw the show tonight
like the red dress better than the jumpsuit type thing that one. Totally agreed with the two choices sent home.

9. I love the new spin off, even if I didn't love the dress.
When Santino drove up to a Gibson's store I almost choked! When I was a young girl, Gibson's was my favorite store. I haven't seen one in decades! That sewing department had slim pickings, but even I could have come up with something better than red gingham. :puke:

They seem to get along pretty well, which is surprising since a lot of other designers had issues with Santino in the show. Austin has this graciousness about him that you don't see often, these days. I'm really looking forward to watching more episodes.

And I agree with the posters above - I'm a total PR junkie & I love Tim Gunn.

11. HAIR AND MAKEUP!
I can't stop looking at Austin's hair color and makeup. The aesthetic is like 70's female porn star meets 70's tele-evangelist's wife. I'm mesmerized! It's captivating, Miss Scarlett!
