MainStrasse attack worries gays

COVINGTON - A knife attack early Saturday morning on a group of people in the MainStrasse area has increased concerns among some residents that the gay community is being targeted.

"The attacks against my friends I can't help to notice have been within one block of a local gay bar," said MainStrasse resident Ron Padgett, part of a group of residents who came to Tuesday's City Commission meeting. "I'm sorry, but our community is being targeted."

Saturday's assault has led more residents to buy stun guns, he said.

Four people were arrested in Saturday's attack, which police believe was motivated by anti-homosexual sentiments....

and this has been on the local news a lot. i really think it is two or three rednecks starting all the trouble. the covington ky police are usually very visable in this area. i hope they catch them and beat their asses

Telescopic batons work better, but are generally illegal...
