"Would you want to be adopted by a pair of faggots or lesbians?"
MEXICO: Groups Clash Over Marriage

The Catholic Church is fostering protests against same-sex marriage and adoption in Mexico with Cardinal Juan Sandoval Iniguez saying publicly, "Would you want to be adopted by a pair of faggots or lesbians?" Things got very heated yesterday in Guadalajara.

Gay rights activists and a group of Roman Catholics in Mexico have yelled insults at each other during dueling demonstrations over same-sex marriage. Some 200 gay rights activists waved rainbow flags and held signs reading "Thank God I'm gay" at a plaza next to the cathedral in Guadalajara on Sunday. A similar number of protesters opposed to gay marriage prayed at the cathedral's doors. One of them ripped up a sign held by a gay rights activist, prompting screaming by both sides. It was the second confrontation in two days in Guadalajara, where Cardinal Juan Sandoval Iniguez stirred controversy by suggesting Mexico's Supreme Court was bribed to uphold a Mexico City law allowing adoptions by homosexual couples.

6. I'd rather be adopted by loving parents, than abused by some Catholic priest.
Once again, the Church of Rome is showing it's hate.

14. +1,000,000
The RCC has amply demonstrated its propensity to abuse children then cover up the crime -- repeatedly. Even Papa Ratzi the Nazi was in on it. That organization is stinking rotten from the top down.

It should be patently obvious that a loving, safe home with two doting parents would be far more preferable than being abused by and subjected to the ministrations and mindfuck of any religious wackjobbery. Here's hoping that Ratzi and his band of mary men will be the final downfall that's been a millenium and a half coming. Couldn't happen to a nicer.

15. In a Word, Yes
Breeders are not known for their parenting skills--just look at the burgeoning numbers of foster care children--all removed for abuse and abandonment.

17.  OOOH! Are they rich? Is a middle aged kid too old? I wouldn't object!
My parents are both gone and I could use some!:sarcasm: Heck, they don't even
have " to be rich", just let me cry on their shoulders and make chicken soup, send me tokens on my Birthday and Christmas and Wedding Anniversary. Celebrate the good and Bad times. Wonder where I can get me some Gay parents? I think I am going to ask a lovely lesbian couple I know to "adopt" me!
THe freaking Cardinal refuses to even acknowledge that adoption is about sharing "love" which is clearly an alien concept to the bigoted SOB.He thinks it is better kids be raised in institutions with no love or feelings of self worth. What a very cruel man.

22. I wouldn't expect "Cardinal Milfington" to spew shit like this,
and he's a satirical character!

* "Rapture Watch", where 'Milf Cardinal Milfington' (staff writer Jim Earl), with florid pseudo-religious gobbledegook (including tongues), cited actual events that portend the End of Days.

24. Once upon a time, adoption was the only way you
could make sure your gay spouse received your assets upon your death. I've seen and read of numerous partners where one adopted the other. There wasn't even much of an age difference.
