Gold's "Antigay" Donor Responds - "We are apolitical"

Gold's "Antigay" Donor Responds

Robert Rowling, the billionaire owner of Gold's Gym, who has been the subject of disdain for his significant donations to American Crossroads, Karl Rove's organization that works to elect antigay politicians, says the facts have been distorted, in an interview with Fox News.

"Gold's Gym is apolitical. We welcome all members without regard to race, gender, or sexual orientation," Rowling tells Fox News. "We always have, and we always will."

"The facts are so distorted," Rowling says, explaining that his $2 million donation was due solely to fiscal policy. "I've never heard one discussion of a social issue. This is all about fiscal sanity." Rowling says American Crossroads "supports conservative candidates, and even though those candidates may disagree with them on social issues, the resounding issue is fiscal responsibility."

1. It's unfortunate how politicians with "fiscal sanity" all suffer from "social insanity" and bigotry.

2. The "fiscal" argument is also BS.
In spite of the ultra-wealthy crooks and their billions in profits, this shitty economy wrought by Republican policies can't be good for the long-term health of most businesses.

3. "Calm down, guys! This is just about fucking the poor over!"
Even if that were true (it isn't), it's still not an acceptable answer.

4. They are going to hemmorage business
Bye bye Gold's. They've always been right wing and highly religiously oriented, they just lied about it to make money like good Christian Republicans. They were the first gym I visited as a child, and they were so religious I still associate those who work out with religious nutters. They prayed for 'strength' before lifting, and preached to others while doing it, so this man is full of shit.

5. GOP is the "Fiscally INSANE" party. How many Gold's Franchises have folded because of Bush's
economic collapse? I know my local one has.

BULLSHIT
