Gotcha! GetEqual ambushes Maggie Gallagher, gives her Bigotry Award

The direct action, gay activist group GetEqual ambushed anti-gay Maggie Gallagher today at a Congressional hearing on “Defending Marriage.”

Gallagher is the board chairman of the National Organization for Marriage and was testifying in the hearings.

GetEqual gave Gallagher the “First Annual Anita Bryant Award for Unbridled and Unparalleled Bigotry.”

A statement notes: “Competition for the prize was fierce, with Ms. Gallagher out-bigoting such notable figures as Senator John McCain, Michelle Bachmann, Pastor Rick Warren, and Sarah Palin.

She just wants everybody else out there to have a miserable Catholic heterosexual marriage just like hers.

I once asked my agnostic mother why she'd shoved me into Catholic school since it had been such a poor fit. Her reply was "I just wanted you to have all the disadvantages I grew up with."
