Bono opponent(CA45) speaks to Gays
Edited on Wed Feb-01-06 10:16 PM by mitchtv
Mary Bono says she supports the LGBT community.

But does she, really?

IF MARY BONO REALLY SUPPORTED THE LGBT COMMUNITY, HOW CAN SHE EXPLAIN THESE VOTES??

BONO OPPOSED:

Reinstating 2 Boy Scout Leaders who Were Expelled from the Scouts for being Gay

A $10 Million Increase for a National Aids Patient Housing Program

Medical Benefits for Gay Couples in San Francisco

A $300 Million Boost for HIV/AIDs Programs

A $75 Million Boost to Fight the Global AIDS Epidemic

BONO SUPPORTED:

A Ban on Gay Adoptions in Washington DC (July 1999)

Cutting $50 Million from the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) (Increasing unsafe abortions, HIV/AIDS cases and the incidence of female genital mutilation)

Requiring 1/3 of AIDS Spending Go to Abstinence Programs

President Bush's Global Gag Order (Effectively stopping US supported overseas family planning programs from counseling women about abortions or performing abortions) HR 1646, Vote #115, 5/16/01; Knight Ridder, 5/17/01]

Currently main squeeze for Connie Mack R-FL. My understanding is that it started well before the clothing designer was out of the picture. She voted to impeach. Time for her to discuss her sex life under oath and see what she has to say.

taking her oath of office as a California federal representative, she's been in bed w/ the rightwingnuts of the Republican Party. The sole thing that got her elected was her dead husband's famous name, Sonny Bono, period.

I hope California tosses her out of the House of Representatives in D.C. on her rump.
