http://www.365gay.com/Newscon06/02/021906colorado.htmThe Colorado Clergy for Equality in Marriage have announced their opposition to a state constitutional amendment that would define marriage as between one man and one woman.
The group of mostly Protestant and Jewish leaders advocates for full marriage equality for gays and lesbians, including legalizing gay marriage.
The marriage amendment, which is expected to make the November ballot, is being touted in large part by Bishop Phillip Porter, an African-American Pentecostal pastor and former chairman of the board at Promise Keepers. He is joined by other evangelical Christians and Catholics.
The Rev. Phil Campbell, Founder of Colorado Clergy for Equality in Marriage and United Church of Christ minister, said the coalition's aim is to present the other side from a religious standpoint.
