my dad saw a cross dresser on the street today and told me if i ever turned gay he would kick my ass. He actually tried to harm one of my sisters black boyfriend. thats why my mom blames my gayness on him going to jail. I love living in Greensboro NC:sarcasm:

threatened to kick he and his brother out of the house if he ever found out they were gay. (My daughter and I do think her friend is gay, but hasn't come out yet.)

This kid's father is an attorney who travels all over the world, yet still manages to be so narrow-minded. Of course, he is a Bush supporter.

My mom found out and gave me a wet ditch to sleep in. A year later, my parents decided that I didn't deserve help with college because my grades had dropped more than a full point.

Gee, I wonder why...

The bitch who raised me- I'll not dignify her with the term 'mother', since no caring mother would do what she did- tells me she'd do it all over again.

Did I mention I hate both my parents, I'm glad my dad's gone, and I'm hoping my female parent dies sooner, rather than later? And they adopted me. I was picked for this.

Oh, there are lots and lots more reasons for me to wish for her death. She ruined my life and admits it in the same breath she says she'd do it again.

By ALL means, set up alternatives, so you can throw it in their face if/when they decide to cut you off. I know from very painful experience that there's nothing people like this hate more than their punishments having no effect, or being nullified. Unfortunately, my realization came about ten years too late for me.

People like this deserve their children's hatred and scorn. People like this aren't worthy of the moniker 'parent'. People like this deserve every bit of misery they receive.

20. My hometown is about an hour south of Greensboro.

So I know first-hand that growing up gay in the rural south, with homophobic loved ones that are supposed to always support and love you, sucks. My heart goes out to you. I hope that your dad grows and comes to terms with your homosexuality over time. Trust me, if my dad can do it, anyone's dad can!

But I think Greensboro is a rather progressive hub in NC (along with Asheville and the Triangle area), so please don't think that your dad's bigotry is reflective of your town.
