Gay PDA and Homophobic reactions from 20/20
Some of the reactions truly made me sick. WARNING: This video may really piss some off here (like it did me)

i thought it was interesting. ended on an up note (although i didn't really like the "eye candy" comment)

calling 911 to report a public display of affection? wow.

i suspect reactions may have been similar if these couples had been straight & interracial. or a straight couple with mohawks, green hair and eyebrows pierced.
sometimes people react with disgust, sometimes as if they are turned on, and sometimes it's just surprise because seeing a gay couple kissing/showing affection is so infrequently seen.
(but i could be wrong)

here's a reaction from 25 years ago (in a chicago suburb)
2 girls pull up to a convenience store in their car. they don't notice another car has pulled up beside them (with a guy and girl--the four of them were all in their twenties). the two girls start kissing. the guy in the next car gets out and has to pass their car on his way into the store. he sees them kissing/making out. the girls are not aware anyone is there. he stops and watches. after several moments one of the girls gets out of the car to go into the store. she sees the guy standing, watching, smiling. he says to her: "oh, man! i forgot what i was going in the store for. i saw you two..." he laughs, flustered, makes a comment about how he has to go home for awhile, and turns around to get back in his car with his wife/girlfriend. he drives off.

back then it would have seemed absurd to think that in 25 years nothing would have changed.

25 years.
and i'm still waiting for society to "come a long way, baby"
