GLBT issues ARE political, not merely personal, issues that are of interest to the broader community of Democrats. I guess your presumption that GLBT issues deserve to be segregated from the more "serious" political discourse shows where you actually are on our issues. 27. IIRC, it was somewhere around the time when they introduced the GREATEST page.

People were putting stupid lounge posts up on the Greatest Page, and it made anyone looking at DU think that the place was a hotbed of moronic, drunken, drugged chatter.

So then, they took it off the latest, and the greatest. Not positive about the timeline, but that's how I seem to recall it.

I remember growing up in a small town, realizing that I was gay, and not having anyone to talk to...but that was before the current widespread use of the Internet. Although we're only a virtual community here, I'm glad that you've landed here and found this outlet for yourself.
