The sky is falling! Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!
When will the madness ever end? It's so unfair. :eyes:
What does his being gay (or not gay) have to do with anything?

Gay Hustler White House Reporter Denies Being Plant
by 365Gay.com Newscenter Staff

(Washington) The mystery of White House reporter Joe Gannon shows no sign of dissipating.

In a CNN interview, J.D. Guckert, who wrote under the pseudonym of Gannon, would not deny that he was responsible for several gay sex websites in which his picture was displayed as a man seeking sex with other men for pay. Neither would he confirm it, despite screen captures of the sites on the popular AMERICAblog.org which first exposed him. (story)

CNN's Anderson Cooper pressed Guckert on the issue: "Your critics bring up your past, that whether or not you did work as an escort as going to your credibility, that, you know, should somebody who perhaps was working as an escort was getting access to the White House and being passed along through the Secret Service. Was your employer aware of your past activities?"

But, Guckert dismissed the question. "My employer was never at any time aware of anything in my past beyond the writing I did, because, frankly, it isn't relevant to the job I was asked to do, which was to be a reporter.

1. For those of us in the GBLT community...
this is totally about Republicans using Homophobia as a tool while being closet queens themselves.

They have NO right to a clean well lit closet while destroying the rights of the rest of us.

14. That's what you claim, but the fact is
there isn't a Gannon/Guckert thread in existence which doesn't inlcude all sorts of anti-gay jokes and suggestions that Bush, et al are also gay.

Once the witch hunt has started, like it or not, you will not be able to limit it to Republicans and/or homohpobic gays.

This is going to come back and bite all of you on the ass.

16. Of course
Homophobia is always OK for Democrats, whether it is on gay marriage or gerbil jokes. And some partisans are as delighted to bend over for this sort of treatment as any LCR would for Bush.

4. considering the fact that he wrote articles
against gays and he was a disgusting closet case, calling him gay has EVERYTHING to do with it. It just stresses the hypocrisy even more.

He must have been making minimum wage as a reporter, since he obviously needed the extra income from his prostitution business to stay afloat. Wonder if Tom Brokaw ever had that problem....

"hey, you guys hear about that fuck`n fag who`s blowing someone in the whitehouse?" "ya,he`s got a website, says it cost ya 1200 bucks for him to fuck ya...shit the management does this for free"
this bunch of republicans are the worst. none of these guys respect women, none of them show any compassion for women, and they go out of their way to marginalize women. as a heterosexual man i certainly see the under pinning of this administration. it`s the "made" men running the whitehouse and to put it into factory terms-it`s who ya blow.
i doubt bush will be hurt by any of this or his "drug confession"..but maybe this will tone down the attack by various groups on the gay community.

10. Amazing how the repukes set up straw men with such ease.
They're trying to paint Gannongate as "those angry libruls who turn on their own (ie: gays) just to hurt the pretzelnent. And the gays turning on another gay is despicable."

Let's follow that logic: that means that the "non-gay" press should make a point of closing ranks with any "non-gay," no matter what the crime. So then, the "non-gay" press should have rushed to defend Clinton or even Osama.

Did I get that right?

11. It's the same logic they used in defense of Mary Cheney.
"How dare those liberals mention OUR lesbian daughter? The nerve of them using her for political purposes." YET it is OK for them to use 'gay marriage' as a political issue.

We can't let this story go. It's too PERFECT for exposing their outright hypocrisy.

13. Those of us that have spent any time at all in gay bars can testify to the
fact that there are assholes in every community.

Guckert is a hustler of the worst kind. He is also a tyrant ...tyrants feed off of repression...imagine that a repressed homosexual.

17. Maybe include gay-inclusive language in criticizing Gannon
Something along the lines of:

"While we welcome Gay-Americans in every walk of life-- including in The White House Press-- we are dismayed by other aspects... etc. etc. blah blah... and while we whole-heartedly support Mr. Guckert's right to be who he is and to love who he chooses... etc. etc. blah blah..."

Don't hate him because he's gay.

Hate him because he's a self-loathing hypocritical lying treasonous crook who whores out his body and his mind to the highest bidder. He set-up Dan Rather, exposed CIA operative Valerie Plame, and pitched meaty softball questions dictated by Karl Rove.

Love the sinner, hate the prostitution, treason and fraud.

Just an idea.

18. Gannon being gay is a significant datum ...
... because it shows him to be a political hypocrite as well a sleaze.

It embarrases the 'pugs, more than it does us.
