Playboy Wants The Gays

Even with a successful reality show on E!, adult entertainment giant Playboy is struggling with a severe drop in revenue and now they are calling for us gays to come to the rescue.

Playboy is reportedly moving into the gay market with softcore cable video-on-demand and plans to offer Time Warner Cable subscribers 20 hours of gay male programming within the next few months.

According to the memo obtained by XBIZ, Playboy will offer "professionally produced adult programs selected by Playboy, targeted to the male gay community, edited to a standard no more explicit" than softcore pornography.

Each program in the package "may depict erect genitalia, male-on-male fellatio and simulated or implied sexual intercourse."

7. It's about time someone realized the profit potential

My cable copmany offers 5 or 6 dedicated heteroporn channels, along with SHOWTIME and CINEMAX's after hours programming.
I often wondered why they haven't seen the $$ in the gay and lesbian markets.

But really, like someone else said above, what is the point? If you can afford that then you can afford the internet, and then suddenly you have more porn available to you - for free - than they could ever hope to possibly provide.

Maybe if they offered gay themed reality shows or something. I might be interested in that. Gay soap operas, etc. Basically handle it like network TV except have it gay themed. Alternatively they could do something like Lifetime and run with gay themed movies and such. I'd like that even more.

I'm not really interested in softcore porn when I can get hardcore porn immediately with the click of my mouse.
