BAHAHAHA...McGreevey Accused Of Failing To Cash In On Gay Fame
(Elizabeth, New Jersey) The nation's first openly gay governor could have become a talk show host, pursued a movie deal or otherwise cashed in on his fame after a sex scandal forced him from office, a lawyer for his estranged wife argues.

John Post, who represents Dina Matos McGreevey, is trying to convince the judge in the couple's divorce case that former Gov. James McGreevey has underestimated his earning potential and net worth to avoid paying alimony to his soon-to-be ex-wife.

McGreevey's lawyer, Stephen Haller, has tried to show that his client, now an Episcopal seminary student, is too poor to pay. The 50-year-old former governor has testified that he does not want to pursue high-profile jobs because he wants to quietly get on with his life.

Lawyers for the McGreeveys repeatedly clashed over money matters Monday as the judge tried to untangle the couple's assets and debts.

The more I see of this story the more the wife sounds like a money-grubber. (Not saying she is, mind you, but all the talk surely paints her that way.)

Gay , straight or indifferent, he does not have the right to suddenly destroy anothers life and refuse to support his child in a lifestyle he can provide. He is arguing he is "unemployable" despite a Columbia Degress a Georgetown Law Degree and a Harvard masters in Education. He is living with a multimillionaire boyfriend and say it only costs him $9,000 a year to live because he is "simple' in his needs.BTW, boyfriend is picking up his legal expenses. She has to pay her own.
He wants to just walk away with no consequences. He cheated on his wife and caused havoc. He should pay the piper. Now he is in the seminary. He wants to be an Episcopal priest,Gag me with a spoon!

2. Oh, don't get me wrong...
I don't think he's NOT a slimeball.

However, I don't think that either of them deserve any sympathy. The child, yes. The "adults"? No way. They made their bed (sometimes with more than just them, allegedly) and now they're got to lie in it.

3. If you were his wife
I bet you'd be more than just a little ticked off to find your husband and father to your children suddenly announces that he's gay. That's got to be every married woman's worst nightmare.

6. i think leaving for another woman is far worse because then its literally YOU he didnt want
not your entire gender etc.

if lisa were to leave me for a boy (), it woudl be far less problematic for me than another girl.

7. Unless the wife really was in bed with him and other guys at the same
time which is being pretty consistently reported now. At that point, I'd have to say she might be foolish for not seeing it coming, but she shouldn't have been surprised.
