For those of you here in the GLBT Community...who put me on your Greatist Gay Bashers List
Edited on Fri May-23-08 08:20 PM by KoKo01
of Greatist DU Posts...(the one Skinner did his reply to) ...I just want to post this for you from KoKo01 that you listed in my August 28th/07 Post...where I was called names so foul that they were deleted...so when you read the post...you don't see what was posted about me.

But, in the spirit of this...I post this to you.....this is part of me....which in your zeal to perhaps judge people...you might want to realize that folks who post here are much more "multi-dimensioned" than you might think...from whatever viewpoints we all judge people.

Check it out. The background might not be music to your taste...but...the lyrics are the thing....and the message that goes along with it. It's the biggest part of me...no matter what you might judge.

2. After reading a few of your posts in archived threads, I can understand why
some members of the GLBT community might have felt that you could use a bit of negative feedback for some of the things you've posted. When you suggest that gay men might be responsible for mothers being afraid to send their sons into public restrooms "for fear of them seeing and hearing stuff or being prey" you should expect people to vocally refute that insulting and ignorant statement.

Your heart may be in the right place, but when you post things like that you can expect to be criticized harshly.

3. Who cares how multi-dimensional you are if one of your dimensions entails homophobia?
I'm sure you don't mean to be, but you've said some fairly hurtful things and clearly here you have a chip on your shoulder and no regret as to your previous statements.

Homophobic is as homophobic does...in other words, I judge people on their actions.

7. What is the point of this?
Are you apologizing to GLBT DUers for the things you've said in the past or not? It doesn't look that way to me in the slightest.

See, here's the deal. YOU don't get to decide what GLBT people think is offensive; they do. So even if you think something is incredibly funny or witty and the GLBT community states that it is homophobic. It's YOUR job to listen. And, learn.

It is only when we open our hearts and ears to GLBT people will we all finally begin to come together as a community and live harmoniously.
