I got my electronic cigarettes today.

They taste like a cigarette. But they have no smoke, just vapor.

They satisfy the urges and the cravings. I will never go back to real smoking again.

4. Yep. I went cold turkey for nineteen days.

No smoking at all. I realized that, after 40 years, I really missed cigarettes. The cravings were gone, but I missed the place that cigarettes took in my day to day life. And I was not about to give that up. So, I am really happy to get my electronic cigarette. No dirty tar, or smoke, or any of the other 4000+ chemicals and additives that are in cigarettes. Just the nicotine.

5. It depends on why he needs to quit

If it's for a heart condition, he needs to avoid nicotine, period, since it causes coronary artery spasms no matter what delivery form it's in.

If it's for his lungs, however, they might be a good transition for him.

Let me know how it's working out for you.

I've done okay on the patches in the past, but relapse to smoking after quitting the patches.

If I could keep the nicotine and get rid of the rest of the smoke, that would be great.
