Doctor finds plant growing inside man's lung
http://www1.whdh.com/news/articles/local/12001910794327/man-finds-plant-growing-inside-his-lung/

BREWSTER, Mass. -- There was a problem sprouting in a local man's lung. Doctors originally thought the new growth was a tumor, but when they looked closer, they got a big surprise.

“I was told I had a pea seed in my lung that had split and had sprouted,” said Ron Sveden.

It was not the diagnosis Ron Sveden was expecting. He had prepared himself to hear the words cancer and tumor, but a plant growing in his lung?

“Probably about a half-an-inch, which is a pretty big thing of course,” said Sveden.

Ron had been sick for months. He was already fighting emphysema when his health took a turn for the worse.

2. How old is he?
I once had to take my 2 yo to the emergency room and watch them strap him to a backboard to extract a dried pea he's stuck too far up his nose to get out at home.

If it had gone any further...

A pea seed is a pea. How did he get that into his lungs?

5. Oh, no! It's the invasion of the pea-pod people!
This morning, I found fungus (toad stools) growing out of the spout of my indoor hibiscus planter. That planter has never been outside. I had it in my home-office until I had to replace my telephone jack and move it to reach the jack. The hibiscus sits by the window on the sunny side of the house, so I was surprised to see fungus growing in the planter. I'm going to have to take it outside this weekend to get rid of the fungus. That should be fun.

10. that was found to be a hoax, or more like that it wasn't a tree that grew
by looking at the thing it's not a seeding/sapling.It's a part of a branch off of a tree, not a tree that sprouted.
