Christian Underground and Rev. Lou Sheldon says We are at War With Islam

Stop Apologizing to Islam!
Barbara J. Stock
May 17, 2005

We Americans need to get our priorities straight. We are at war with Islam. I want President Bush, Secretary Rice, the media, and the bleeding-heart liberals to stop apologizing to Islam and I want it to stop right now. Islamics are slaughtering people all over the world. Islam has threatened to make our streets “run red with American blood.” A Saudi Islamic cleric gave bin Laden permission to detonate a nuke in a major American city. Enough already!

What has set off the latest round of breast-beating and begging for Islamic forgiveness? Allegedly, the Quran was urinated on, or placed on a toilet or something. Newsweek couldn’t wait to report this non-story knowing it would trigger anti-American riots and give the Islamic propaganda machine fodder for weeks to come. In fact, if Islam has any pattern, people will die because of these still unproven allegations. Once again, the sins of Islamics will be on the back page as we Americans scramble to be forgiven by Islam.

Look for more kidnappings that will be followed by the obligatory beheadings of innocent people so that “Islamic honor” can be restored. As we have all learned, only the death of someone not even remotely involved in whatever it is Islamics are enraged about, restores Islam’s “honor.” These beheadings will be video taped and gleefully shown on Al Jazeera every five minutes. In fact, four Afghani men have already died because of that report. Good job, Newsweek.

Because, as we all now, our troops were being greeted with cheers and flowers until that Newsweek article.

<snip>

I hear, “We don’t want to sink to the Islamic’s level.” I don’t want to hear that any more either. There is absolutely no comparison to be made. Islamic prisoners are fed, clothed, and allowed to practice the very religion that has sworn to kill us all. I don’t hear any Islamic outrage over the hostage beheadings or Iraqi children being targeted by Islamic butchers. I didn’t hear a peep of anger when a British imam said children were legitimate targets for Islam. Islam seems to have no limit to the evil it will inflict on others. Because of this, Islam has lost all rights to protest an imagined injustice inflicted on it.

3. Losers
Don't they understand that they can pray whenever they want despite people's reactions? Freedom of religion afterall. Supreme Court prevented teachers and administrators from telling kids how to pray and suddenly they think it prevents all prayer? Sheesh. They need to stop watching 700 Club.

To any evangelical freepers, go ahead and pray. Pray all day. Pray to God, Jesus, Mary, Moses' 3rd cousin, the Great Purple Monkey, I could care less. Just don't force others to pray is all I ask. Otherwise, you can do it anywhere (employers might want you to work instead but hey, there is always time in the work day for prayer).

And the best thing about freedom of religion? No one can tell you how to pray, when to pray, who to pray to, nor where to pray. Keep that in mind evangelicals.

4. Matthew 6:5-6 "...when thou prayest, enter into thy closet ..."
Edited on Wed May-18-05 01:14 PM by IanDB1
Matthew 6:5-6: "And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men....when thou prayest, enter into thy closet and when thou has shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret...."

See:

RAYER IN THE CHRISTIAN SCRIPTURES
Jesus and prayer

<snip>

But then he {Jesus} apparently wanted to pray. So, he went off by himself to pray in private. All four gospel writers emphasize that he prayed alone:

Mark 6:46: "And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray."

Matthew 14:23: "And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone." (KJV)

Luke 9:18: "And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him..."

John 6:15: "...he departed again into a mountain himself alone."

Jesus' message, displayed by his actions, appears to be that it is acceptable, perhaps even desirable to give thanks to God before a communal meal. But prayer is to be performed in complete isolation from other persons.

He'd better pray for smaller ears!

5. This is what we're up against.
No more Mr. Nice Guys, we gotta fight back with everything we've got because you can't reason with people like this.
They're f*cking insane, they should be locked up in rubber rooms for the rest of their pathetic little lives (where of course they can pray all bloody day and night).

6. Brainwashed
I think many evangelical followers are brainwashed. Look at Wallis, he is evangelical and fights the right all the time. The followers aren't the problem, it's the ministers, leaders, media, and publishers that make shit up so they can gain power to back up their beliefs which they view as "persecuted" since they can't have absolute power in a theocracy.

7. They know all of the right
buttons to push.
Nationalism, racism, sexism etc etc etc. Their power lies partially in their skill as dividers. The whole "You're either with us or against us" speil really gets them foaming at the mouth. The reichwing's plan was brilliantly executed.
Any idea how to combat mass hypnosis?

8. Mass hypnosis?
Well, persuasion inoculation is out since most bought into the deception. Best social trick to do is to expose the leaders as frauds without forcing them to claim Jesus forgave them. It'd be hard but if we make more references to Jesus than OT, show them that Christians can be liberal AND conservative, and compare how Jesus acted to their current leaders who seem to be more Moonie than anything.

9. Sorry,
was equating brainwashing w/hypnosis.
Do you think many would want to know the truth? I work with sheep, they get agitated when someone points out inconsistencies in the stories they're told. Then their eyes glaze over and they placidly go back to their daily routines never giving it a second thought.

10. Stories
Let's not mess with their beliefs. Best to let them keep them (religious freedom) but show how their leaders don't follow the religion they claim to follow and actually lead others to "Satan" by not doing what Jesus taught.

11. No, I wasn't
calling their beliefs stories, I meant the msm propaganda.
Sorry, I should have clarified, I may be an atheist but I would never insult someone for believing in something I don't.
(unless of course, they picked on me first)

12. Oh the media
Hard to deal with them. Best to boycott them and let them know we need truly balanced news and journalism. Get your news from other sources till the MSM straightens up. Google News and Yahoo! News are great substitutions. We have a message and it must be heard by the MSM.

(my coworkers) listening to NPR so it's a start.
Maybe I can work up to weaning them off Faux completely.
