many people will have seen this website no doubt. It is interesting because it pulls together the various threads in the fundamentalist Christian takeover in the US, particularly at government level. What is frightening is the influence that the fundie Christians have on the US judicaiary.

1. you may have heard about this,

a post last night (that i wanted to investigate a little further, but was out the door with my family to dinner) talked about a show on one of those hyper religious channels called The Ramp. Apparently it is geared to teenagers and featured a guy in cammies on a stage dancing around with a big long sword extolling the kids to go out and murder and kill all gays and liberals. I don't know if this is true, but if it is, need to have an action alert now to the FCC.

I tried to find the show on our local evangelistic stations, but no luck, but as I said I was in a hurry, and didn't spend a lot of time on it.

They can have their little theocracy...right after Jesus gets here.

Until then, we'll just muddle through with the mundane democracy thing.

3. And if they take over, it won't be just the atheists or non-Christians

who will be getting the knock on the door at midnight. The fundies consider us liberal Christians to be traitors to God's unchanging truth.

Like liberal and secularized Muslims in Iran in 1979, we'll have three choices: adapt, leave the country, or wait for the religious police to come get us.
