Microsoft defends decision to give up search data
By Elizabeth Montalbano, IDG News Service, 01/24/06

Microsoft is on the defensive over its decision to hand over search data to the government, saying the company would never compromise the privacy of its customers ...

2. Every company should tell the government to go fuck itself
I can't believe that they are caving in.

This is clearly, totally, and utterly a) a waste of time, just to begin with, and b) a violation of privacy.

7. The republicans sure got that central government drowned ...
in the bathtub!!

Oh how they wail about the evil federal government when the Democrats are in power.

But the minute they get in, they consolidate power in the central government, reduce the power of the states, and enlarge the federal government more than ever before!

How do the freepers reconcile it when the republicans say one thing and then do another??

I know many republicans who have seen the light about the modern republican party and become independents or (gasp!) Democrats.

The remainder are apparently loyal to their party, not their Nation, to the bitter end. They would have been good brownshirts.

Microsoft should go out of business for this decision. They are lackeys to the government.
