This year the commemoration theme was "The Cost of War: Then & Now" . Medea Benjamin from Code Pink spoke, as well as Mary Ann Vecchio & people speaking in remembrance of the students killed in 1970. Music from Emma's Revolution .

After the commemoration there was a march against the current wars cosponsored by Portage Peace, Kent State Antiwar Committee, Campus Antiwar Network & Kent ARA . We marched from campus to downtown for a speakout.
