What do you think about keeping gitmo open for convicted terrorists?
I mean, most of the people in there have never gone to trial.
IF they are guilty, keep them, who gives a crap.
If they aren't then ship them back to whereever they were picked up from.

Can't see a reason to keep them as US prisoners outside of US soil, unless the purpose is to use some loophole of avoiding US laws and oversight.

7. Since when do we keep civilians in military-run prisons?
The inmates of Camp X-Ray have to be civilians, because otherwise they'd have to be PoWs. So if they're guilty of breaking the criminal laws of the United States, we should treat them like any other civilian convict (any supermax candidate anyway). We sure as hell shouldn't leave them in the hands of the armed forces, not after Abu Ghraib and the other instances of armed forces personnel abusing detainees.
