Here are three questions and answers with Dr. James Webb
For those with higher-than-usual levels of scientific curiosity, here are three questions and answers with Dr. James Webb, a professor of physics at Florida International University and director of the Southeastern Association for Research in Astronomy's telescope.

Webb helped organize a project that makes remote use of the 0.9-meter telescope at the Kitt Peak National Observatory in Arizona's Sonoran Desert. His area of specialty is the study of Blazars, including Blazar S5 0716+714.

His answer to the third question is spectacular. The example of Maxwell's work leading to a pretty good chunk of modern technology is right out of Sagan's The Demon-Haunted World.

But the headline bugs me: "For those with higher-than-usual levels of scientific curiosity..."

Why is it considered unusual to be curious?
