Expelled creators whine about their movie tanking
Expelled is tanking at the box office, but of course the movie's creators would have you believe that the reason is not that their movie sucks, but because of Christian persecution by a secret cabal of atheists.

I love when conservatives start getting shrill. Their tears are like fine wine to me (or should I say "whine"?).

Just for contrast, there were tons of Christian protests of "The Golden Compass," which went on to make $320 million worldwide despite Christian attempts to stop the movie from being shown. Expelled on the other hand has been protested by no one, and will probably not break $10 million domestically before it is unceremoniously thrown out of theaters.

1. Yes, Roger Ebert was clearly in on the persecution conspiracy when he pointed out that it sucks ass.
Hopefully Ben Stein sunk some of Ben Stein's Money into that idiotic turd.

2. I plan to watch it eventually
I remember all of the conservatives bitching about F 9/11 that never bothered to watch it. I will not reciprocate that behavior.

So when it comes out on video, in Oh, two weeks, I'll get it. Or maybe I'll wait until it's in the 50 cent bin at Blockbuster.

3. I love this (and it's so dead on)...
"Font size changes, random underlining, random color changes — it is so typical of creationist email. If I didn't know that these gomers had millions of dollars at their disposal, I'd consider this to be yet another rant from a lone fruitcake living in his mother's basement."

8. That's it! Stein's movie didn't have enough sadism and blood.
He should have hired some actors to portray evil atheists torturing teachers and professors who bring "intelligent design" into their science classrooms -- scourging them and then crucifying them on the flagpole as weeping and wailing belivers gather 'round.

Richard Dawkins would be the devil....

10. There were only 3 people at the Sunday pm matinee in my city
I wasn't there, but a fundie neighbor who went told me he was surprised that there were not more church people there considering it was a cold and rainy afternoon and the movie had been publicized by the fundies.
